Rosalyn Ramos Barry

Rosalyn Ramos Barry, originally from the Philippines, has been living in the United States since 2004. From 2014 to 2016, she served as the president of BAADA, an organization dedicated to advancing arts, culture, and community development, particularly for the Asian Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, Deaf Plus, and Deaf LGBT individuals.


Rosalyn was drawn to BAADA's mission, which aligns closely with her personal values and professional goals. She is passionate about fostering cultural growth and community engagement, and during her tenure as president, she focused on expanding BAADA's reach, enhancing program offerings, and strengthening community involvement. Her background in arts and non-profit management equipped her with the skills necessary to lead BAADA effectively and work toward their shared objectives.


Her experience with BAADA was incredibly rewarding, as it allowed her to work on impactful projects, such as collaborations with the Oakland Museum and the SF Asian Museum. These experiences significantly contributed to her professional growth, enhancing her skills in community networking, outreach, and event planning. Although faced with challenges, such as managing numerous events, she learned resilience and effective problem-solving, which had a profound impact on her career and personal development.


Rosalyn remains enthusiastic about contributing to BAADA’s future successes and continues to support the organization's mission in various capacities.
