Sulghi Hong

Sulghi Hong, a Korean American, has lived in the U.S. for 44 years since birth. He served as the president of the Bay Area Asian Deaf Association (BAADA) from 2007 to 2009, following his role as Vice President of the Southern California Asian Deaf Association (SCADA). Sulghi was instrumental in organizing the National Asian Deaf Congress conference in San Francisco and co-coordinated an Asian Deaf Talent Show during the event.

Reflecting on his time with BAADA, Sulghi cherished the opportunity to socialize with other Asian Deaf members, valuing the shared cultural experiences and sense of community. He believes that ensuring cultural accessibility through events that teach about language, traditions, and customs in ASL is crucial for the Asian Deaf community.

Sulghi praises BAADA's current leadership for their successful efforts in organizing engaging, educational events and encourages the public to support and enjoy their work.
