Julia Hong

I’m Julia Hong, a Korean American

Deaf woman in the Bay Area. Cooking

and baking are my passions, rooted in

my upbringing with traditional Korean

cuisine. I’ve honed my skills through

family traditions and even took rice

cake art lessons in South Korea. Now,

as a mother, I’m dedicated to passing

on my cultural heritage through

food, hoping to inspire others to

explore Korea’s diverse cuisine.

The BAADA logo is in the top right corner in black and red.

In the bottom right corner is Julia Hong. She has shoulder-length dark hair with pink sunglasses on top of her head. She is wearing a shirt with horizontal white and black stripes. She is holding a latte.

[Video transcript:

Hello, my name is Jeongin Weber, a board member of the Bay Area Asian Deaf Association.

I am here to give more information about the airtight containers or jars for the kimchi workshop. The airtight container and jars should look like this (show jar and container).

This airtight container is size 1.7L and can fit half of a cabbage. If you struggle with size, don’t worry. If you have any containers from your home, it is okay to bring your own container.

This jar size is 64oz and can fit half of a cabbage.

We recommend that you buy a 1.7L airtight container OR a half-gallon(64oz) jar.

If you want to buy one, you can go to an Asian store, some have airtight containers or jars, or you can order them from the link:

Thank you for watching and see you there!

End].
